End Of A Year - Sincerely

Sincerely poster

It's not very often that a band that I enjoy from around my hometown "makes it." Sure, Albany has seen it's share of noteworthy bands of various styles fade in and out of obscurity, but something about the air in the Capital Region of Upstate NY keeps bands from sticking it out long enough to really make themselves visible.

This is not the case with End of a Year, who signed to Revelation Records (Gorilla Biscuits, Quicksand, etc.) this past summer, elevating themselves from a smattering of local shows to 2 modest US tours and an upcoming Euro tour. End of a Year are commonly pinned down as a modern-day Rites of Spring/Fugazi, but in all reality, they are just a genuinely good band with very tight, driving musicianship and geniune, relateable, and intelligent lyrics, a must-hear for anyone willing to suspend judgment and comparison and just genuinely enjoy a band that actually, for lack of a better term, totally has their shit together.
